The 10 Stages of Anxious Moms

It’s undetermined how many times a day my brain cycles through these 10 stages. Everything is fine. Totally fine.

  1. BLISS: everything is wonderful.
  2. DOUBT: why is everything wonderful?
  3. FEAR: something bad will happen soon.
  4. DENIAL: is everything really fine?
  5. PANIC: omg, something happened.
  6. CONFIRMATION: totally called it.
  7. CONFUSION: is it a little thing?
  8. WORRY: or is it a really big thing?
  9. PROOF: google will help.
  10. SPIRAL: yep, everyone is dying.

This is so spot on! I was such a “worry wart” when my kids were young, but now that they are grown and living across the country from me, it’s actually gotten a bit better. Maybe because I don’t see what’s going on and I know I can’t control whatever it is. Love the graphic!

Yup, been here before. It’s crazy how fast we go through these emotions too. I have two little girls and I’m pretty sure that I go through these stages 100x’s day. LOL Always good to know you’re not alone.

That’s no lie! And I’m so glad I’m not alone, but sorry you spiral through the same emotions daily.

  4. Love it! I’m not even an anxious mom!!

  5. These are awesome because they are so true! I hate being in the fear phase the most!

My daughter is an anxious mom, as she has an anxious 22 yo. I look forward to her following you to so that she realizes she’s not alone.
